The AU College of Liberal Art granted Wendy a significant award to create a new scientific identification mural focused on beetles during the summer of 2024 in collaboration with Biologists at Augustana College in Illinois. Plans are to install these murals to illustrate climate change's effects on insect populations over the last 100 years. Using dialogic art methods, this public art project also circumvents colonial systems of environmental education by promoting methodologies from her indigenous heritage.
